Joe Owens

Joe OwensWriting is one of Joe’s primary passions in life. There is nothing that makes him happier than creating a fiction story with rich, engaging characters that captures his reader’s minds, and hearts. Drama or comedy, Joe has the ability to see a story from a unique viewpoint, which makes his stories unexpected and fun.

Joe has been writing for three decades, crafting all manners of stories, including science fiction, mystery, comedies and now Young Adult stories. Flash fiction is a new passion, and you can find several examples on his WordPress blog called Joe’s Musings. Joe has never met a fiction prompt he would not take and craft an interesting read.

A husband for over twenty years and father to a teenage boy and teenage girl, Joe is gaining great knowledge of the young adult mind, which only helps strengthen his approach to the young adult writing. Real life can sometimes be stranger than fiction and Joe sees this in the adventures of his children and their friends as they explore relationships. While the names are always changed, you are sure to see some real life scenarios surface in his writing.

Joe is making the final edits on his first fiction novel. It is a love story and mystery with a young heroine who must make a difficult choice. The tension gradually rises throughout the book to bring the reader along on the way to a cataclysmic choice.

Joe is also very active in his church, serving as the Missions Director. In December of 2013, Joe will return to Belize for the second time as part of a mission team delivering shoe box gifts to children. His pictures from the previous trip and stories can be found mixed into his collections of log posts. He would love to have you come read about the people he visited in Belize.
